On Wednesday, 20 April, DeepBlue took over St John’s Anglican College’s theatre for a full day of YoungBlue workshops.
We started bright and early with Drama workshops to get participants comfortable on stage and ready to let their personalities shine during their performances. We were so happy to see so many familiar faces and it is delighting to watch our YoungBlue musos develop and improve with every performance.
We divided participants into three workshops – according to the songs they had already learnt off by heart: Bollywood Seven, Jungle Medley and Yellow Submarine. They had a quick warm up session and choreographed their own dance moves with the help of DeepBlue musicians.
Later that day it was our turn to perform for an audience full of students and parents from St. John’s Anglican College and Springfield Anglican College. We had a great time and when it was time for YoungBlue to come on stage, they did an amazing job!
The workshops paid off and they were such stars!
After the show we took photos and signed autographs and even after such a long day of hard work, the feeling of accomplishment was overpowering, and everyone was all smiles.
