November 18, 2015
Conservatorium of Music
2pm
In November 2013, over 1,000 music professionals and enthusiasts from all over the world will descend upon South Bank, the heart of Brisbane’s cultural precinct. Musicians, producers, managers, administrators, festival directors, journalists, scholars, educators, facilitators, activists, policy makers and music lovers will discuss, plan, perform and experience the future of music on this planet
We are thrilled to invite you to DeepBlue’s show at the World Forum on Music at the Conservatorium Theater at 6pm, Saturday 23 November. The four day biannual forum, which is conducted in partnership with UNESCO’s International Music Council and Griffith University, is a global knowledge-building conference on music and society in the 21st century. DeepBlue are performing alongside Katie Noonan, William Barton, Topology, Joseph Tawardros and many other local and international artists. DeepBlue’s exquisite playing, supported by precision moves, circus antics and immersive visuals have earned them accolades across Australia and Asia. Audiences at the World Forum on Music will be invited to use DeepBlue’s Electronic Show Programme (ESP), that amps audience interaction, reveal a little of this modern orchestra’s life journey.
Community is a big focus of the World Forum on Music and DeepBlue are showcasing our YoungBlue musicians plus surprise guests who join us for a song during the performance. If you are between 8 to 18 years of age and play an instrument, register to be part of the 23 November concert. After you’ve registered DeepBlue will send you the music, then you’ll do a music and movement workshop with us at 2pm on the day of the show, and perform at 6pm!
