Matt Sorensen

Matt Sorensen is a Brisbane-based producer, multi-instrumentalist, and music technology educator.

Since completing a Bachelor of Music Technology at the Queensland Conservatorium, Matt has branched into a number of fields. This ranges from performing with bands, to developing audio for installations, apps, audiobooks and live performances. One of his projects involves creating short works entirely out of recordings of ‘found sounds’, such as printers, lamps, glasses, or power tools.

His original productions and remixes are published regularly - notably in 2019, his remix of Kishi Bashi's 'Honeybody' was released through Joyful Noise Recordings, and has since reached more than 1 million streams on Spotify,

Matt's first performance with DeepBlue was in October 2021, where he contributed production, keys, effects - as well as performing on Leap Motion (an infrared camera that utilises hand tracking technology).
