DeepBlue are excited to collaborate with composer Zinia Chan, Hinze Dam and SWELL Sculpture to present “When We Are Water” is a musical journey inspired by the profound connection between conservation and mindfulness, evoking the serenity of being carried by the ebb and flow of waves. In this immersive experience, the audience is invited to embrace the tranquillity of surrendering to the gentle push and pull of water’s movement whilst being intimately close with two bespoke large sculptures and DeepBlue string players weaving intricate melodies that mirror the rhythmic patterns of nature. The title “When We Are Water” encapsulates the essence of embracing one’s cultural identity within our unique communities, acknowledging the interconnectedness of humanity with the natural world.
