Win tickets for DeepBlue + K Mak PLUS $100 to spend at Bar Alto!
If experimental synths and eclectic chords are your jam, read on! Art-electro-pop songstress K Mak and boundary-pushing orchestra DeepBlue are coming together for a beat-bending, string-driven riff rhapsody at Brisbane Powerhouse, for a double-billed headline show this month. Spoiler alert – the string section will not be sound checked to the classical concerto.
With a resume that features appearances with the likes of Kanye West, Eminem, Archie Roach and Vera Blue, K Mak’s live performance is a guaranteed tonal treat. Her unique mishmash of A-grade musical passions is evident in the sound. She will be performing her debut album live, where audiences will be treated to an amalgamation of imaginative strings, beats, synths and vocals. The night will be paired nicely with award-winning DeepBlue, who is set to bring select sounds of fresh Australian composers, electrifying originals and reinterpretations of modern (love) bangers – think Bowie, Madness, Tones and I, and more.
These two musical forces will take audiences on an immersive ride across genres, decades and composers, certain to impress any and all live-music enthusiasts.
The Weekend Edition and Brisbane Powerhouse are giving you the chance to win tickets for you and three friends to DeepBlue + K Mak on Friday October 22 in the Powerhouse Theatre, PLUS $100 to spend at Bar Alto. Enter below for your chance to win.
